London’s Biggest Splash Pad for Kids
Welcome to Splash Park, a vibrant outdoor water playground in the heart of Barking Park, offering one of the most exciting and affordable family days out in London and Essex. Designed mainly for toddlers and children up to 12 years old, our fully enclosed splash zone features interactive fountains, water jets, and safe play areas where children can run, dance, and cool off all summer long.
Meet Splashy ( https://www.instagram.com/ItsSplashyOfficial/?__d=1/ ) our Insta-famous, much-loved mascot, and join our professional entertainment team for motivational crafts, interactive games, and splash-tastic discos that keep the energy high throughout the day. With a new theme every week, every visit feels fresh, exciting, and full of surprises.
Each summer season brings unforgettable experiences, including everyone’s favourite yearly Project Splashy Party, magical outdoor family theatre, and family cinema under the stars, alongside plenty of unexpected moments that make every season better than the last.
Parents and guardians are welcome to join the fun or relax while watching the action unfold. An on-site drinks, slushy, and ice cream bar keeps everyone refreshed, and Splash Park is also a popular choice for children’s birthday parties, offering a fun, stressfree way to celebrate with water play and entertainment.
Extend the adventure beyond the splash zone by enjoying a relaxing paddle boat ride, taking on a bigger challenge with Unicorn Quest at The Magical Unicorn Lake, or jumping into the action at Bounsea Land, our high-energy inflatable and bouncy adventure park nearby
Please note: Splash Park opening is weather-dependent, so we recommend checking the forecast before planning your visit.

Plan your visit
Here is all that you need to know to make your splash park session easy and enjoyable.
Splash Park
What are your operating times?
Splash Park is open from May to the end of August and its grand opening is planned for the weekend of 23 May 2026, weather permitting.
Open on weekends, public holidays, school holidays and sunny weekdays during term time. When the weather is especially good, we may add extra opening days. Please check our Opening Times page before your visit, as availability may change depending on weather conditions.
During May and June, the Splash Park runs three 90-minute sessions each day at 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. As the season progresses and temperatures rise, extra sessions at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm may be added.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving around 10 minutes before your session begins. This gives us plenty of time to check your tickets, so please have them printed or ready to show on your phone for scanning. If your booking includes tokens or other extras, you’ll receive these at the check-in point.
Why is there a 30 minutes break between each session?
The 30-minute breaks between sessions are essential for maintaining a clean and safe environment
During this time, our team thoroughly cleans the entire site and prepares it for the next group of visitors, ensuring everyone has a pleasant and hygienic experience.
What are the benefits of the Splash Park?

All Splashy Land attractions are proudly backed by Project Splashy, supporting children to dream big and build emotional strength through play, movement and imagination. Attractions
What type of attractions are available inside the Splash Park?
Alongside the splash fountains, children can enjoy Mini Paddle Boats and Walk-on-Water balls for a fun and unique water experience. These attractions require additional tokens.
The recommended minimum age for both activities is 5 years. Younger children may take part under full parental responsibility. Children under 3 years old are not permitted.
For safety, Walk-on-Water balls allow one person per ball with a maximum weight of 60 kg. Flips, stunts, jewellery and sharp objects are not allowed, and the activity is not suitable for guests with complex medical conditions or recent surgery.
Mini Boats allow one person per boat with a maximum weight of 30 kg. All riders must remain seated, and splashing or crashing into other boats is not permitted.
How do I purchase tokens for attractions?
Tokens can be added during online booking, where the best prices are available. Prebooking helps your visit run smoothly and saves money.
Walk-on-Water balls cost £6 online (£8 on site).
Mini Boats cost £3 online (£4 on site).
You can also pre-book ice creams and drinks at discounted prices so children can easily redeem them during your visit.
Why are some attractions not included in general admission?
Some attractions have age limits or may not suit every guest. Offering them as optional extras allows families to pay only for the experiences they choose, while others can enjoy splashing without additional costs.

Tickets
Can I buy tickets on site or are they only available online?
A very limited number of general tickets may be available on site, but on hot days they often sell out quickly. To guarantee entry, we strongly recommend booking online, where you will find special offers and the best prices. Follow us on social media at @splashylanduk and sign up to our newsletter for exclusive deals.
Can I get a refund on pre-booked tickets?
All purchased tickets are non-refundable; however, they can be rescheduled up to two hours before the session or event start time for any other convenient time during the season. It is the visitor’s responsibility to monitor the weather and decide whether conditions are suitable for their children.
What if I’m late?
You can still enter during your session, but you will not be able to stay longer once your session ends. If there is availability in the next session, and only at the discretion of the manager on duty, you may choose to relax in the park and return for the next session. This applies to the Splash Park and Bounsea; we are more flexible on the Magical Lake. Whatever happens, please do not panic — we are here to help you.

What events do you run at Splashy Land?
Every year, Splashy Land reinvents its events programme to keep things fresh, exciting and full of surprises. We introduce new ideas each season while keeping the events our visitors already love. Can I organise a birthday party for my child?
Yes. Splashy Land offers two dedicated birthday spaces in the Splash Park and one in Bounsea. For the Unicorn Lake, guests simply board the boat. You may bring small decorations and picnic-style food. We are happy to store your cake in the fridge and play a Happy Birthday tune for your celebration. To book, purchase your ticket package online and select the birthday party option with your details.
We understand that parties can be costly, especially when inviting several families. As an alternative, you may set up a picnic next to the playground (outside the Splash Park boundary) and bring the children in only for the session. There must be one supervising adult for every five visiting children. Another option is a forty-minute Bounsea session, where children aged five and over may attend unsupervised. Please refer to the Bounsea page for specific age requirements.
